Hi, I have really appreciated your game: it is perfect for smartphones, addictive ,great sound and graphic and yet it is a bit too difficult.

I am playing at normal level and I am thinking about starting over at the easy one because the risk for my character and henchmen to die is just too high, grinding is boring and especially I have a life with a job and so I cannot invest too much time in any game, especially with choices that make it more frustrating rather than relaxing.

Here are some hints that I would like to give you:

1 - allow to change game difficulty after that the game begun, in any moment, not only when you create a character.
2 - at easy level, monster should be just a little be less deadly and provide a little bit more gold
3 - more control over mercenaries that are just too reckless and die too often (they are replaceable, right?)
4 - random quests taken at the vault are nice but a bit too difficult because of lack of time. I'm forced to zigzag through the map and that is very boring.
5 - the game turns out to be impossible without henchmen and followers. Please reduce the XP penalty from 20 to 10% when you have an henchman and allow to have more than 1 follower, maybe accordingly to stats. More followers means more firepower but gradually less xp, so a team of 3 including the main character plus a mercenary should be ideal.

P.s. why no I'm game purchase? I am not a big fan of those things because somehow they spoil the fun of the game, yet I would not mind to pay 2 euros occasionally for extra gold or experience as long as the sum is proportional to a smartphone game. A nice way to support a fine job!

Regarding your 5th point - it's not impossible. Yes, it's a bit harder, but definitely doable. For example, one of the strongest enemies you can face in the game is a dragon, and I've managed to beat it solo quite easily. As a matter of fact, a badly geared companion would die in two-three hits in there.

If needed, adapt your gear for specific encounters in order to make it easier(gear with Death resistance when fighting undead, for example).

Hi guys!

Elldar, never spoken about possibility or impossibility: when I was younger I did enjoy playing RPGs as Baldur's Gate II in solo mode but now I just want a game to entertain me and relax me without being frustrating or too hard.

Russel, especially about your answer... if you want a hard game play it at hard levels. I don't like too easy challenges either, but I prefer to enjoy the exploration and the plot rather than struggling about battles. So let's make the casual level really easy... and if you don't like that, just play the game at the difficulty level that you like the most but respect the others too.

That is what difficulty level are for, right? ;)

1. Changing the difficulty level while in game isn't likely to happen.

2. The difficulty on casual mode is, in my opinion, right where it should be. The gold given is also appropriate and if anything should be adjusted, it's the individual cost of specific items because it's easier to balance the game economy that way.

3. Mercenaries do need some work but this is beta and we'll see what happens.

4. Talk at the inns (the top option) for clues, gossip level is key.

5. It's not impossible to complete anything without companions except for a few quests where they advance them or initiate them.

The number of henchmen seems balanced as is.

XP split is fine as is.

In regards to the PS statement about pay to play...

That is one of the BEST things about this game. It is a game designed with the experience at the forefront and not profitability. There are 1000's of other options in the playstore which embrace the pay for play ideology and we don't want this platform corrupted by such concepts.

I would suggest that you explore the Wiki and you'll find ways to make the game easier for you to navigate.

Thanks for the answers. I just disagree about the NPCs matter but it is ok for the rest.

A very good reason about my "PS": I had a gut feeling that it was like that.

Cheers!

One of the reasons companions are limited is because the quests are designed to make you choose (what do I want help with) between say the rogue, who will help you with traps, the warrior, who helps with fighting, or the cleric who helps with undead and healing. It's all part of the balance bro. If you could bring multiple companions or even mercenaries it would disrupt the balance of player power vs area difficulty.

Maybe a couple quests could be designed where you could bring the whole team but it would have to be designed that way to adjust for team dps and so forth.

Man, if you are the maker of the game let me repeat you my compliments since I just love it.

About companions, let's specify this:

Mercenaries that you pay: fine as they are, although I would appreciate a greater variety including archers and spellcasters.

NPCs: the ones that reduce the % of gained XPs.
I understand the logic very well: it helps you to play the game over to try every possibility, yet it may not fit every player's taste. I am more a "big team" player because I like party of adventures in D&D spirit.

What about this proposal?
Every NPCs hired decreases gained XP by the following %
Casual level: -10% each (it is the easiest level after all)
Normal level: -20% each (so having 2 is already an issue because it means -40% in XP and that's heavy)
Hard & super-hard level: -20% the first, -25% the second and the third for a loss of 70% in XP.

In that way, it would be a personal choice of quantity vs. quality

Also, you may want to set a requirement in charisma (or any equivalent) where the following score unlocks a new follower slot
Casual level: 1 extra NPC every 2 charisma points
Normal level: 1 extra NPC every 3 charisma points
Hard level: 1 extra NPC every 4 charisma points
super-hard level: 1 extra NPC every 5 charisma points

Just brainstorming with you to propose alternatives.

One thing that I don't understand is this: if I start with the lady warrior as a follower, then I pick up the rogue and then I take the warrior back, how weak she will be? Don't I risk to have low-level followers if I chose them accordingly to each mission, not to mention the time to travel through such a vast map? Teleport is very costly!

I'm not the designer, that's David, he's the guy with the red colored name.

I understand what you're asking for but like I said, it really would ruin the balance between player resources and area difficulties.

XP penalties won't fix that bro.

Maybe some quests will be designed for multiple companions.

Have you done the Fort Assault quest yet?

Was that experience more fun for you?

I think I didn't meet the maker yet in the forum.

And no, I didn't do the Fort Quest (probably the one with plenty of orcs) because I have not been able to level up higher than level 7 so far.

Understand that now I am on holiday but usually I work a lot and so I don't have time for too challenging games and the Normal level to me is time-consuming too much already.
