Numerous players have made it through the game on Ironman using a wide range of character and build types.
Traps are thing to deal with on Ironman. (Traps used to be worse, but the game did reduce some traps).
Warriors, esp 2-H warriors with a combat focus, have the hardest time with traps because they tend to have the lowest detection rate. However, they tend to have the highest HP, and the skill Charge, can safety take you across a trap. That's rather nifty.
Mages have a decent change to detect traps (INT and AWA tie well with mages), plus Mage Armor will absorb one trap.
Clerics have a decent chance to passively detect traps, plus the Wisdom skill that can detect traps in wide area. Intervention can also serve as a great back-up plan for a missed trap.
Rogues can have the best ability to detect traps, and the best ability to disarm traps.
So every build has to have a way to deal with traps. Do you use class skills or scrolls of detection? Use a Companion as a trap detector? Do you just go slow and hope for the best?
