For the quest "Father of Wolves" I retrieved the heart, but Three Claws has disappeared. How do I complete the quest?

Double check you're in the correct spot for Three Claws.
Check to see if it's a map loading error:
Try reloading the auto-save for the area (you just left the cave so only a minute or two of game play?).
Quit game, and re-start game.
Stay at inn to force map re-set (but this will overwrite your inn save so make a back-up if desired).

I've done this multiple times, three claws isn't there. Maybe he died when I was running from the wolves. However captain whitewater died when I was running from orks and he reappeared.
