Yes, and the game has been beating on hard with an archer by at least a few people.
My experience with the Archer-Rouge class suggest the build has a slightly more difficulty time in some of the tougher areas, but the build can be a killer. In intense melee fights, the build suffers and might require potions, scrolls and a good companion.
