I find it amusing that has been exactly 1 non-mod/admin post so far... :) And to that poster... as David said books are free downloads or can be found free at least... I will be doing the same... I stopped at 3.5, started with the White Box.

5ed is really fun! The magic system makes spell casters so much more effective, being able to cast unlimited cantrips is awesome :) I love the way each class has specialisations at 3rd level, combat is really good, and the D20 skill system actually works :)

While of this is getting set up, maybe some of y'all would like to continue the Legend of Quan. Who doesn't love a transforming swampdonkey that can talk...

I was the last to post, I can't continue the story until another adds to it :(

It would be nice to have some of the casual members of the community show some initiative and jump into the contests and other activities we put together to develop the community into what we envisioned.

Thanks to the lore seekers, the Wiki is so useful, we don't get much that hasn't already been addressed until the Great One releases an update, which is like opening presents on Christmas morning.

I've really come to care about you guys, and gals and several of you are friends.

I admire the hard work that's been put in by so many of you.

I'm sitting here at the hospital, still, for 16 hours now, while my wife is in labor, waiting on our baby girl to come and I'm on Exiled Kingdoms, she isn't even angry at me for it because I'm right here next to her where I should be.

This community has become a part of my life, and I share a lot of real life experiences and in that, I've made some friends.

I love you guys like a Troll loves a swampdonkey.

Congrats brother. Take care of your wife and the birth of your baby girl... We will be here working on the wiki and trying to drag more EKHolics in to join the fun, wondrous world that David has created and we get to be a small part of.

History:

The farmlands around New Garand can be harsh in the winter months, the fields of lettuce and cabbage freeze solid as a mummys heart, and bandits and outlaws sweep in from the west, looking for easy prey.

Tom the Smith was not a bright man. He wasn't a kind man either, in fact if you had to find a word to describe him it would probably have been unpredictable. Tom had eighteen daughters to three wives, and his life was a predictable misery, hen pecked all day and all night.

When Tom heard that his fourth wife was pregnant he was predictably apprehensive, but when the baby was born he wept with joy when he saw it wasn't another girl, got blind drunk, walked into the blades of a windmil, and died.

Bran, Tom's son, grew up quickly amongst his older sisters, and kept growing until he was a touch over seven feet tall. He was put to work from a very early age pumping the bellows to work the forge, the smithy well known for quality New Garand armour, and also one of the main suppliers of the warriors guild.

When he turned 15 and stopped growing upwards, his sisters realised that they'd never be able to fully support him, and while he was good on the bellows, he had the intelligence of boiled leeks and the mental age of a child. It's not hard to outfit a mercenary when you own and run a forge, so Bran was quickly outfittedand sent to the city to wander the streets in search of adventure.

This days i was reading the Fantasy AGE book, and i really like the system, i think it's would fit better to a narrative within the EK's world. Probably starts next week, lets see if goes fine. I will bring more info.

Is this game still active? Can I join? It's been a long time since I've played D&D,but it was great fun years ago. I'd have to pick up some dice and a handbook, but that's not a huge deal. Its been long enough that no matter what system you use,I'd be learning all over again.
