Bash and Stab

Here's my opinion and suggestion, all 2 cents worth. Don't know if it frustrates anyone else but, can stab be worked so you either hit a target or the time limit expires? I'm using Gris more and more and have her with bash. Often when I go to use stab, she bashes at the same time as i swing, knocking the target back and wasting my stab as I swing on empty space. Its extremely bad facing higher level enemies when every hit counts.
