(Don't worry, my initial post doesn't have any detailed spoiler at all. However, do cautious in scrolling down this thread because it has so many spoiler bombs, so proceed with your own discretion)

Finally, it's here! After waiting for (not) so long, David (praised be your development) finally give us the rest of the companion backstory for us to enjoy. And here's my two cents of the update (Note: I don't know if it's just me or not, but you need to go for Adaon's quest first, then you can get Grissenda's quest)

1. Adaon Story
I'd never thought that Adaon has a different side of him the entire time, even though the community has been shit-talking him from the beginning of the beta (I'm looking at you VDX ;) ) but after this quest, I'm pretty confident that the community's opinion of him will instantly change (in the good way too). Still, this quest is pretty fun to finish (You might get excited, depending on what you'll do in the end part of the quest) and the item rewards that you get is quite generous, despite its easiness to finish halfway through (You might need some poisonous weaponry after that, just saying)

>REWARDS
a. Items & Weaponry
Finally, David recognizes the least Class in the game :D , I'm almost worried that you'll not give them some weapon choice but yet David deliver justice! (There's also a stone, yeah I don't know what's the reaso-OH MY GOD, THE PRICE WHAT IN THE WORLD?)

b. Skillset
HOLY SHIT, I don't usually tell something that's overpowered. But HOOOOOOLY BALLS this is so good, Adaon's Buff finally useful as an actual Rogue Class after getting abandoned for years and called "Cleric's Helper" by the others, but today is a good day for Adaon.

2. Grissenda Story
I knew it, Everybody knew it, Grissenda isn't really good at hiding her bloodline. And yet, I'm really surprised the story is changed upside down to a point of a nostalgia for me because the story is so familiar and hits home for me (I even thought of meeting Vlad Tepes at some point  ). Not only that, but the rewards that await you are pretty Grissenda-esque and suitable for her. Despite that, I've got pretty irritated halfway the quest due to the certain enemy is "blocking" the objective and the way of stealth is pretty hard due to the mobs placement are everywhere @.@ (I think you need some "shining" weapon, but I ended up never tried it lol). Still, the aftermath is pretty heart-warming and I can't wait to see the continuation of Grissenda's Story Arc (if David pleases, that is)

>REWARDS
a. Items and Weaponry
You got the Sonnet version for Warrior and slightly buffed version of Maul of Corrosion, which is pretty good (but not really impacted that much, considering I can't equip it and Warrior already have a LOT of arsenals, but to be really honest. I'm not complaining :p)

b. Skillset
The assumptions of "Grissenda's only way to deal heavy damage is to have 2-handed weaponry" will be vanished after this, since Grissenda has some skill to balance an equally defensive and offensive trait at the same times. Pretty good

Pretty ground-breaking update, I might say. this might change the meta of companion priority a little bit and I can't wait to see some Adaon build :D

perhaps losing griss as an companion in a process, but gaining vampire warrior companion instead?
A new companion would take way too much effort and time to make so that really wouldn't be worth it. And if it would just be a copy of Griss but a random vampire then would just be a bit pointless.

I felt that lore-wise I didn't know enough about vampires to consider them enemy.
They are vampires that are trying to kill you? What more do you need to know?

I had this uneasy feeling throughout second part of griss quest that some alternative, more evil outcome is missing. I mean,
an option to help vampires, perhaps losing griss as an companion in a process, but gaining vampire warrior companion instead? I felt that lore-wise I didn't know enough about vampires to consider them enemy. That would require more time and writing though, and I don't think David has much of it to spare given that he also works on sequel.

that's a stupid request. Just read the books. The vampires are bound to that place, they can't leave it, so a companion who is bound to a dungeon won't help much. Also vampires have a problem with sunlight, so he should die if the sun rises up ;)

These are not the first time David mention any of these, I just don't expect it to be this fast. Do you remember anything that related to the Tol's follower on their betrayal?

Yeah, that thing is getting a nice place in my Vault. I already have 250k anyway so I have no need to sell it. It'll probably never be useful since even the description says that it's best to sell it but who cares? I have this awesome beautiful stone now!

Lot's of things tried to kill me in EK, but interaction with sentient foes sometimes resulted in learning new lore ( lady xidar, undermother ) or potentially peaceful outcome ( forsaken ). And vampires do seem to be sentient. Not only that, they seem to be one of few tolossians that are not undead, and hall of blue star was mentioned in other tolossian tomb as really important place. I felt bad for killing vampire elder because he might've known more about tol and the three than anyone else, except for Tol himself. For this exact reason i didn't kill undermother. I kinda wish we had a chance to pass some high int/per test before killing him and learn somthing new.

Not really a request, just my imagination running wild as I know it'd take too much effort. You're wrong though - vampires are bound to hall of blue star, but ritual of pure blood was supposed to fix it.

I do, but i don't recall them being mentioned as vampires, so I assumed they were undead as the rest of tolossians.

Ok, you're right. When I read that, I took for granted that whoever wrote it is long dead, or currently undead.

I mean, the one who wrote it is certainly was dead (that's the only way to finish the related quest), but this writing proves that it seems there's a branching point within the Tol's Undead Tribe after their god is put to sleep (and that's why I said in the first post "...can't wait to see the continuation of Grissenda's Story Quest", since there's a clash with one of the Tol's Undead Tribe)

Something like the Varannaris siding with the Witches of Orogg or simply living in the wilds worshipping the Moon Goddess or living in faith with The Three.
