It is only idea, maybe bad one. At the SW corner of Zamohr Mountains are boulders blocking the way.
The next map could be mountain pass - consisting with lot of serpentines and guarding tower with small mercian troops. The serpentines could be overrun with higher lvl of orcish army soldiers.
In the night and higher awarness there could chance to cross the pass without fight - find some tunnels that gets you somewhere else, some walls with option of climbing (buying some items - rope etc. could lower the a danger of injuring).
=> could be also sentence: 'After short examination you noticed, that this wall contains a lot of holes and some kind of nails. Probably Velites use this as side way to get into orcish territory.'
