Mage Armor and Bear Trap

I'm not sure if this is even a bug or intended, but when I run into a bear trap (damage and a slowing effect) with Mage Armor up, I still get affected by the slow. The armor negates the damage and gets dispelled correctly, but I would think that the lingering effects of traps that don't actually hit the character wouldn't be suffered.

Edit: On the topic of Mage Armor, is it going to persist through save/load or through loading into another area? I thought I saw it addressed somewhere, so I didn't want to make a new form post about it.

1. I think it's normal, slow (or freeze/stun) isn't effected by the mage armor, only the damage

2. Yes, it 'resets' when reloading. Switching area depends on the switch, if you just teleport, the mage armor keeps. About switching areas I'm not sure, had both

The problem with changing areas is it was being exploited to re-buff. I might study allowing certain long-duration buffs to remain, like Mage Armor.

It is intended that slow effect is not deflected.
