I know that's a lot of pages, but there are several mage builds. I recommend you to read it backwards and search for a suitable mage build that way

been looking for a decent one to do the Ark, read something about a summoner but cant find nothing around. |

Ok thank you for the reference, the only bad part is most of the posts are previous to the update and quite few of the images are long gone, but now at least I have an idea how to beat the ark. Again thanks man. |

Here my mage summoner build. Most important for the Ark is shock resistance and a shock weapon. Also a good tip, use lesser summoner against steel wizard, he can't die (wizard does shock damage and that heals him) and will keep the wizard busy.
