The game starts with a Baron trying to complete a ritual that would give invulnerable vampires the ability to roam freely around the realm. At the same time, a Cult is trying to open a portal that would let swarm of insanely strong parasites into the world.

So if the Hero does nothing, the invulnerable vampires and the parasites would be set for a pretty nasty fight.

Who would win?

By the time the Parasites reach Mount Storme, they should have grown to immense size and will probably just swallow the Vampires. Since the latter are invulnerable, they will soon get bored of being digested eternally and will start to maul the Parasites from the inside, causing some nasty stomach ache and getting spit out again eventually.

After some time most of the Parasites will have realized that Vampires are bad food and really not worth the effort of chasing them. Both species will live together peacefully until the Parasites implode under their own gravity. Before that happens, I can even imagine that the Vampires tame some of the Parasites, riding them for joy (remember Dune).

:D :D :D like it!

It reminds me of the time as a student. "can you recognize if you and everything around you was enlarged by factor 100?"

The answer:
jes you can, because of square/cubic. The exoskelett of an insect is proportional to square, his volume is cubic, so at some point the exoskelett won't be able to hold the whole volume.

Well, when the parasites grow the size of mountains they'd crush the castle, the fountains, conjuration circles, etc that keep the vampires invulnerable.

So the next following questions is: If the parasites would just grow to destroy everything, what stopped them on the old continent?

It's not just the size, they develop all kinds of destructive powers as they grow. The answer to your question is given by the ark library, they don't last forever.

Parasites. 100%. Just because the vampires are invunerable against weapons and magic with the ritual doesn't mean they can survive massive space parasites that might possess alien powers.

I wonder though if humans would have found a way to stop the vampires if the hero hadn't stopped the ritual. The humans would be caught by surprise first and suffer a lot of deaths, but afterwards some skilled priest or mage might find a way to bypass their invunerablity without needing to survive all the way to castle Storme.
