The next update has an --unreliable-- release window for mid-August to September, per the the Developer (who himself called it an totally unreliable estimate). There might be news on the update soon, check the News and Announcements thread.

There' a lot of players eager for the next update, but hold your wild trolls, it will get here sooner or later
